Eastern Cape megabridges making steady construction progress after initial setbacks
Following hold-ups and obstacles in the last few years, roads parastatal South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) rebooted works in 2015 on the Mtentu and Msikaba megabridges, in the Eastern Cape, as part of the flagship N2 Wild Coast Road (N2WCR) project. The task covers 410 km between the N2 Gonubie Interchange near East London, in the Eastern Cape, and the Mtamvuna river bridge, and extends to Port Edward, in KwaZulu-Natal.

Sanral to issue 70 tenders in ‘the next couple of weeks’
The South African National Roads Agency Limited (Sanral) states it will issue at least 70 tenders “in the next number of weeks”.
